As for me location is comfortable, near the subway station and a lot of restaurants nearby, and the ferries. It is within walking distance of Lin Heung Kui, where you can eat something.

Very pleasant experience there. Charming small hotel with very comfortable facilities in the best possible location just next door to bus terminals and Kowloon and Tung Chung line. Easy check-in and late check-out, parking nearby. No charge for wake up calls, local calls, and ironing too: )

Thoroughly enjoyed this brand-new hotel, would recommend. the restaurant here was good for breakfast, we both ordered extraordinary dishes. - Attentive and really helpful staff, offered us wake-up service, ironing, and local calls. - the view was incredible, the service was very good. - It was easy to park nearby. - the location was convenient, around 10-15 minutes walk from Central-Mid-Levels Escalators.

The rooms here are stylish and the staff at check-out are welcoming, the location is amazing and they have nearby parking, plus it's not too far from Victoria Peak.

Just outside main commercial centre and so a bit more sassy but near enough to walk for everything including night life and restaurants. Very handy for local subway transport. Small and friendly, all brand new and a little different. So new that not all finished, pool not ready for use but Gym is ( 19- 4-2011)

    No general communal area.

This hotel was such a big rip-off! The rooms do not look like the ones they show here, when I went to ask at the reception, they told me that there's only two rooms that looks like the one they show on booking, com. So if you want to stay in the room that is on show here, you better make sure that you will get it before you book, The room I got seems much smaller, and the view is terrible! The hotel is still underconstruction thats why I think its not fair to cost such a high price and have no facilities available. Breakfast was shocking! The breads were soft and a little wet, seems like its been out of the fridge. I paid 2500HKD a night to get this!? Unbelievable! The hotel is really small, and cost way too high for its standard. I am only 160cm tall and the sink is at the height of my thigh .. the toilet is yellow all the time, baht tub is smaller than usual size you normally see... Really dont know what to say... was a big disappointment..

Great location for the price. Beautifully designed. Free Wifi in all rooms. Free shuttle bus to Airport Express.

The fact that the free shuttle bus isn't that well advertised by the hotel. What's more confusing is that there is an official Shuttle bus provided by the Airport Express but this does not serve the Mercer hotel. Instead the Mercer provide their own Shuttle, which guests should contact the hotel prior to their arrival to enquire about pick up times and point.

We cannot speak highly enough of the Mercer. The staff were so fantastic - when I discovered I'd left my handbag in a taxi, they immediately phoned the taxi company, and directed us to the nearby police station to make a full report. I cannot thank them enough for their help and genuine concern. We upgraded to a suite on the 29th floor which gave us plenty of room to spread out. The king size bed was high and extremely comfortable. There was also a small desk and extra tv in the bedroom. The living room also had a large tv and couch. The kitchen came with a Nespresso machine and a full range of teas. The mini bar was complimentary. The large bathroom was fully equipped, however the glass door required a blind to be lowered when using the toilet. Decor was very modern. Breakfast was served on a lower floor and was great - fresh fruit, juice, cereals, continental meats & salad, pastries, toast, etc.coffee and tea. The lobby was stylishly decorated and comfortable. The free shuttle bus to the Airport fast train (and to the nearby Star Ferry terminal) ran about every 1/2 hour and worked well for us. Again, we can't thank the staff enough for their help. And for making our stay at the Mercer as pleasant as it was under the circumstances (losing my handbag). We enjoyed staying in Sheung Wan.

Glass bathroom door - just a hassle to have to lower the blind when using the toilet, however it wasn't a major issue for us.

The breakfast was fresh made and sensational. the check-in was fast. - the location was marvelous and lovely, right by MTR, Sheng Wan and Central districts as well as the Western Market, in a great area.

Chic, boutique hotel with close proximity to transport, eateries and entertainment. Noisy during the day but Quiet at the night. The mini bar is a bonus although we were hardly in to enjoy same. Friendly frontline staff makes a great difference.

The modern see thru glass panels in the bathroom may pose concerns for friends travelling together as there is little privacy; however it may be suitable for couples or singles. The single beds in the room are very narrow and small, making it quite uncomfortable. Beds are also very high.

Staff are very friendly, welcoming and efficient. The breakfasts are good, especially as they include some Chinese dim sum items in addition to the more conventional continental breakfast type items. I was upgraded to a suite on a high floor when checking-in at a reasonable price. The resulting room enjoyed some scenic Hong Kong views and was spacious and comfortable. I appreciated the free in-room minibar service, especially as there is no bar within the hotel.

I missed having a bar on site. The location is close to the nearby Sheung Wan MTR station and it is easily walkable except when you have luggage. The narrow pavements can make it a challenge to access the station with luggage. Beware the cost shown for any Hong Kong hotel on Booked.net does not include a mandatory 10% tourist tax that the hotel will charge at check-out.
